My fiancée has seriously one-upped me in the "cameos on the news" department.

Looks like Sarah's gonna have some fun at the airport when she comes back from Virginia tomorrow. Especially since half of her luggage is made up of cosmetics, which are now deemed a terrorist threat.

Today started out like any other day at work. I came in at 8 am, still half asleep and the newsroom for the most part still deserted. Peter Jennings dies at 67

I am extremely saddened by this news. As a child I grew up watching his newscasts, and as an adult working in the TV news biz, I grew to appreciate and respect his decades of achievement, both on-air and off.

He will be sorely missed on the airwaves. Rest in peace.
